The general ledger analysis report consists of details such as the opening balance, debits, credits, net change, and closing balance of the main account. This report can be used by account managers to check and update the accounts correctly. The key elements of this report are:

Trail Balance: It gives an insight into the Opening Balance, Closing Balance, Debit, and credit, which will help us monitor the account health.

Profit and Loss: It gives an insight into the expenses and revenue, which will help us understand the account’s performance.

On the first tab, Trail Balance, the graph view on the left side it shows the opening balance and closing balance of the selected main account for the selected date range. On the right side it shows ‘Credit vs. Debit’, ‘Opening Balance vs. Closing Balance’ and yearly credit trends.

 

The table view of ‘Trial Balance’ is a summary drill down by main account type and main account id on ‘Opening Balance’, ‘Debits’, ‘Credits’, ‘Net Change’, and ‘Closing Balance’. 

 

Here, the user can drill through the account to see the further details by ‘Revenue’, ‘Expense’, and ‘Balance’ sheet for the selected account.

In the drill-down, the user can see the revenue by posting type and a trend on revenue for the last 12 months.

On the second tab, ‘Profit and Loss’, in the graph view at the left side, it shows a trend of ‘Revenue’ and ‘Expense’ based on ‘ Legal Entity’. In the middle section, it shows a trend of comparison between revenue earned in the current period and revenue earned in the prior period and a trend of comparison between the current period’s expense and the prior period’s expense for every legal entity. On the right side of the report, it shows the yearly revenue and expense trends.

 

In the table view, there is a summary drill down by category and main account on revenue, revenue (prior month), expenses, expenses (prior month), % Sales, and % Sales YTD (End Date).
